Course Overview

• Meet in the morning at the agreed location (Gastein Valley, Felbertauern, Kaprun, Rauris, Saalbach Eastern Tirol Icepark)

• Equipment check & safety briefing

• Introduction to gear, knots & basic safety

• Crampon and ice tool technique in easy terrain

• Movement on ice: balance, precision & first climbs on a top rope

• Practice safe belaying & rappelling
