Tour Itinerary – 3 Days in the Bernese Alps

Day 1 – Jungfraujoch & Mönch (4,107 m)

We meet early in the morning at the Jungfrau Railway station in Grindelwald Grund and take the train up to the Jungfraujoch. From there, we traverse towards the Mönchsjochhütte and continue along the classic route to the summit of the Mönch. The ascent involves enjoyable ridge climbing on mixed terrain with impressive views down the north face.

Elevation gain: ↑ 760 m | ↓ 550 m

Duration: approx. 5–6 hours

Day 2 – Jungfrau (4,158 m) via the Rottalsattel

An early start takes us onto the route towards the Jungfrau. After easier initial terrain, we climb towards the exposed Rottalsattel (3,885 m). From here, the final summit slope leads us to the highest point of the tour. The descent follows the same route back to the Jungfraujoch.

Elevation gain: ↑ 1,250 m | ↓ 1,050 m Duration: approx. 9 hours

Day 3 – Eiger (3,970 m) via the Mittellegi Ridge

On the final day, we tackle the legendary Eiger via the famous Mittellegi Ridge. This spectacular alpine ridge offers exposed rock climbing and breathtaking views of the Eiger North Face. After reaching the summit, we descend via mixed terrain and glacier sections back towards the Mönchsjochhütte and down to Grindelwald.

Elevation gain: ↑ 950 m | ↓ 680 m Duration: approx. 8–10 hours
