Explore the heart of alpinism in the Mont Blanc massif, one of the most legendary mountain regions in the Alps. Enjoy guided high-alpine tours, summit ascents and classic ridge traverses with state-certified mountain guides from MT Experts, starting flexibly from Chamonix (France) or Courmayeur (Italy).

Whether you aim for the classic Mont Blanc summit (4,810 m, highest peak in the Alps) or technical ridge routes like the Rochefort Ridge or Kuffner Ridge, our guides ensure professional leadership, individual planning and the best possible support based on conditions and your experience level.

Best Time

June to September – the ideal season for high alpine tours in the Mont Blanc massif.

Guided Mont Blanc & Classic Ridges Tours – What’s Possible

The Mont Blanc massif offers a wide range of high-alpine objectives, from iconic summits to classic rock, mixed and snow ridges. Our guiding programs are tailored to your goals, experience and preferences:

  • Mont Blanc — Trois Monts Route (via Mont Tacul and Mont Maudit)

  • Mont Blanc — Voie Royale / Goûter Route (classic Normal Route)

  • Rochefort Ridge & Dent du Géant

  • Kuffner Ridge (Mont Maudit)

  • Cosmiques Ridge & Midi–Plan Traverse

  • Aiguille de Chardonnet – Forbes Ridge Traverse

  • Tour Ronde — North Face or Normal Routes

  • Aiguille d’Entrèves & Aiguilles Marbrées (less technical classics)

  • Mixed & ice routes on Mont Blanc du Tacul and Mont Maudit

  • Alpine ridges like Arête de la Table, Aiguille du Tour or Aiguille de Toule

These tours range from technically moderate to very demanding, and can be combined within a multi-day itinerary across the massif.

Why Choose a Mountain Guide with MT Experts

Guided tours in the Mont Blanc massif offer maximum safety and success potential, especially in a region known for complex conditions and objective hazards (e.g., rockfall on classic routes).

  • Certified IFMGA/UIAGM mountain guides with local experience

  • Flexible tour starts from Chamonix or Courmayeur

  • Individual planning tailored to weather, conditions and experience

  • Small groups or 1:1 guiding available

  • Modern safety concepts and personal support

Typical Tour Structure (Example: Mont Blanc Ascent)

A classic Mont Blanc ascent using the Goûter Normal Route usually takes 2–3 days, with acclimatisation and summit night in high mountain huts. This standard itinerary may include:

  1. Mountain hut approach (Tête Rousse / Goûter)

  2. Final summit push over the Bosses Ridge to 4,810 m

  3. Descent along the same route back to Chamonix or Courmayeur

With additional days, ridges like the Trois Monts (Mont Tacul → Mont Maudit → Mont Blanc) or technical traverses are also achievable.
