Ascent 815 m Descent 915 m Duration approx. 3 h
Day 3 – Dreiländerspitze (3,197 m)
After breakfast, we set off toward the Ochsenscharte and continue to the well-known Dreiländerspitze.Just below the summit, we leave our skis, put on crampons, and climb a short exposed ridge (grade II) on rope to the top. After taking in the view from the border of Austria, Switzerland and Italy,we descend back to the ski depot and enjoy a long run through the Ochsental to the Wiesbadener Hut (2,443 m).
Ascent 1,100 m Descent 1,000 m Duration 5 – 6 h
Day 4 – Piz Buin (3,312 m)
Today’s highlight is the Piz Buin, the highest peak in the Silvretta. We ascend via the Ochsental Glacier to the Buin Col (3,054 m)and climb the final section in easy mixed terrain (grade II) with crampons. After the summit experience, we ski back down to the Wiesbadener Hut,where we may stay for another night depending on conditions –since the descent to the valley can be avalanche-prone in the afternoon.
