Itinerary

Day 1 – Ascent to the Kürsinger Hut (2,558 m)

Depending on snow conditions, we meet either at the Steinbruch (950 m) or Hopffeldboden (1,050 m) in the Obersulzbachtal.From there, we take the hut shuttle to the material cableway (1,920 m) and continue on foot –ascending 650 vertical metres in about 2.5 hours to the Kürsinger Hut.Once there, we enjoy dinner, mountain atmosphere, and views of the Großvenediger and its neighbours –the Hoher Geiger, Maurerkesskopf and Schliefertürme.

Day 2 – Summit Day Großvenediger (3,660 m)

We start early to take advantage of the best snow conditions for both ascent and descent.A fascinating glacier landscape lies ahead, with crevasses we traverse safely in rope teams.We reach the Venediger Scharte (3,413 m) and climb the final ridge to the summit, secured by rope.From the top, an unforgettable descent awaits – up to 2,800 m down into the valley, depending on snow conditions.
