Every Friday we take you away from the busy slopes and into the quiet, untouched winter landscape of Saalbach-Hinterglemm.
During our Open Snowshoe Day, you’ll explore the peaceful backcountry step by step –
across snowy meadows, through silent forests, and up to breathtaking viewpoints.
Enjoy the calm of nature, the crisp mountain air, and the unique experience of walking through deep snow.
Afterwards, we stop at a cozy mountain hut for some local food –
the perfect way to end a relaxing winter day away from the crowds.

Itinerary
Meeting in the morning in Saalbach.After checking the equipment, we start our snowshoe hike into the backcountry –either along gentle alpine paths or towards one of the nearby peaks, depending on snow and weather.
Along the way, you’ll learn interesting facts about snow, nature, and winter safety.We finish the day with a relaxed stop at a mountain hut before heading back down.

Warm winter clothing, gloves, hat, sunglasses, and sturdy, waterproof boots.
Can I bring my own snowshoes?
Yes, of course – but we can also provide equipment free of charge.
